Taiwanese Culture Night

01 Introduction
For this project, I worked on the print and digital deliverables for advertising a culture night with an understanding background of culture. The client, the Taiwanese Student Association at Oregon State University, was willing to bring their culture to deliverables. February was a special month for them that they have Lunar New Year and Lantern Festival. Therefore, they wanted to see the special events on the visualizations.
02 Sketch
Following the client’s request, I combined two cultural events with graphics of lanterns and worked on two sketches. They had two different concepts: fly sky lanterns in daylight sun behind to wish new year, and the other was at night as they traditionally did in the festival. The client agreed with the first concept to bring visualization of the Lunar new year.
03 Print & Digital Deliverables
After the finalization of the design with clients’ confirmation, I created both digital and print deliverables such as posters, social media posts, newspapers, etc. I trained myself to work on diverse formats and the flexibility to create different sizes and ratios of works with a consistent tone of voice and visual elements.
04 Outcome
Especially, I learned how various formats that social media had such as Facebook event posts & covers, Instagram posts & stories. Due to the power of social media, the tickets are sold out that 400 participants joined the event and enjoyed food and performances.
